Brockton Shooting

Client was charged with shooting at a Brockton police officer. He was arrested a short time thereafter and identified by the officer as the shooter. At trial we established that there were many issues regarding the identification. Additionally we established that there was no DNA or fingerprints on the weapon recovered at the scene. Jury returned a verdict of not guilty.

OUI Fourth Offense

Client drove off the road and struck a fence and was exhibiting signs of being under the influence. He failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged. Client faced a mandatory jail sentence since it was his fourth offense. At trial we established that he was suffering from hepatic encephalopathy and that was the reason he appeared drunk and had an expert witness come in and testify about the disease. Jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
